TL;DR — you can skip the 11.2.0 migration entirely by bootstrapping (27 min, vs 8–20 hours in-place). If you read counterparty.db directly like I do, the compaction breaks you: asset names and addresses are integers now, hashes are BLOBs, and most of it fails silently — empty results that look like a quiet market. Fixes: unhex() on hash predicates, subselects against asset_index / address_list, and watch out for subassets hiding in asset_longname. Node's verified and back, @CounterTrader_io_bot's order books are live again, sales history still frozen until I port the ingest jobs tomorrow. -

This is an operational hardening release—it fixes an architectural issue whereby a small number of expensive public API requests against a degraded Bitcoin backend can exhaust the API worker pools. It also includes a *protocol change* — a correction to the Bitcoin miner-fee calculation (#3458) — scheduled to activate at mainnet block 966,200 (approximately September 9, 2026). This is a mandatory upgrade before that block. There is no database migration, and the upgrade is a plain restart.
The most visible behavioral change is that the legacy v1 JSON-RPC API is now disabled by default — operators who still rely on it can just pass --enable-api-v1. A dedicated health-check listener now runs on its own port (default: API port + 2 → 4002 on mainnet). I think basically as part of the failed path it could unlock the asset, the way it's roached is that the fairmint-pool feature locks supply. But if it fails there's no reason in particular it should stay locked which would let you try try again or re-purpose for other uses.

i have basically found that it is impossible for any wallet to calculate it effectively. especially based on your own personal need of completion time. i have hardly seen it get to 4 for more than an hour or so, but im not watching it 24/7

I had a couple of small hiccups with it, but overall, was good to use and got the job done.

The main gotcha is making sure you save your JSON before you hit Back, if you need to go back and change something, all fields got wiped when I went back to adjust and I had to re-enter everything.
