According to Adam on his latest community space, and based on what I have seen... it is on the COMMUNITY to find and report any issues... if the community doesn't do that, then he says it is not his fault if stuff breaks.... it happened with MPMA sends... they broke the ability to send per-send memos and it was broken for many months without them finding the problem... when I did what they requested and reported the issue and loss of functionality, first I was told that I was wrong and the feature never existed.. when I prooved that the feature did exist and linked to a transaction to proove it, Adam then pivoted to blame me for the issue and say that I should have reported the issue 6 months ago, then marked my response as "abuse" and closed the issue.... only AFTER other community members called him out on this loss of functionality did he re-open the issue and eventually fix it.... TLDR, its on the community to find and report issues, and if they don't then Adam and team take no blame... and when issues are reported, often the user reporting the issue is blamed... and one wonders why long-time devs bailed from building on the platform 🤷️️️️️️ -
MPMA Send unable to send multiple memos · Issue #2568 · CounterpartyXCP/counterparty-coreTraditionally, MPMA Sends have allowed for a optional per-line memo, which can be either hex or not on a per-send basis. According to the new /v2/ API docs, and the response from the /address/<a...

getting so many roached assets on faulty minters.
all this "testing" they do, and no safety checks?
who the fuck would ever want a maximum of zero mints per transaction?

looks to me like it was designed to fail, especially with no failsafes. The deeper he gets into "improvements" the more i wonder when a full defenestration will be in order

Back to classic after xchain launch? 🤔 -
Horizon has hired a "community manager" from outside the community. The person was never introduced. When a couple of people asked this new admin friendly questions, Adam piped up to say, "this isn't an ask me anything"
I think Horizon has to be for some new counterparty use case that doesn't involve the existing community -
We got Wojak Lojacked -

Yeah I guess. Hes trying to ride Dan Andersons coattails now. Somebody said Looney is counterpartys biggest L.
I heard hes gained a lot of weight recently and added som more chins -
I bet you have your own sat recovery tool but if not, they've recovered around a bitcoin in frozen sats -
I wish I had coat tails -
I just like to find ways to shit on him you get it -
Corn tails? -
I did not have my own... been away working on other things... joined... Dan has done great work there on that wallet / recovery function, looks like I have 0.005 of a BTC recoverable, which is a nice bit of spare change... enough for some counterparty transactions :) -
I would ban you too with the way you act and talk. How old are you? -
Any threat to counterparty in this latest OP_RETURN battle? -

The threat to CP is Knots. v30 would supercharge xcp -

Whats up everybody, i know most of you already grabbed the paperback on Amazon. You made this book #1 so thank you.
Some of you WENT IN on the Scarce auction for the signed ones.
This dispenser is for frogs who dont have the token. Books get pulled off of kindle everyday, but permanent ownership on Bitcoin is forever.
Fake Rare S18 C13
First multimedia STAMP Novel
Short Story video in the card
420 of them exist.
10 left at meme price before it goes to Scarce for token-only auction.
It's 0.00069420
I know that's not nothing.
But it's also the only way to actually OWN this thing instead of just accessing it.
And it's technically pretty unique - nothing else like it on Counterparty.
This is my first book, but it wont be my last

A community manager who doesn’t engage with the community and has no experience in said community…. What could go wrong?😜
It becomes more and more clear with each passing day that horizon cares not for the existing counterparty community n is only focused on “their” community n pushing their for-profit projects.🤷🏻♂️ -
It becomes more and more clear this was an attack or smokescreen on cp -
-
-
It was rocking along and thrown in reverse in a matter of days -
-
talk about a RUG 😂 -
-
Definitely a rug people were creating new projects doing multi sends at a rate that I haven't seen before then the switch flipped they gave us Fair mints which had a buzz for about 2 seconds and I haven't seen anything constructive ever since just a bunch of pansy ass shit dodging and weaving questions blocking people you know all the fake and gay shit -
Def an op -
Definitely because nobody was complaining or bitching or demanding anything they forked and then gaslit everybody they showed their cards right from the get-go -
They took the unity out of community that's for sure -
yup and all started with chinese stampers -
And I'm sure they feel like they succeeded Not sure what the plan forward is but I remain optimistic we can't let some losers counter our party -
-
Facts and it hasn't really been that long if you think about it they had their day and it was pretty gay and they didn't really accomplish anything other than a loss of their energy -
Felt like an opp the entire time it was right when things felt like they were picking up steam too… but there has to be a way of getting back control eventually via fork part 2 or something like that if they don’t steer back on course -

We don’t do that in America -
Tough to argue with the lack of community engagement, transactions at an all-time low for almost a year, and the ever declining price of XCP…. You may think things are great but a large group of community members feel differently. -
Horizon just needs a blackbox fund -
I dont think anyone is thinking things are great right now but Dan is Making XCP greater again -
-
They got VC’s and already ran through 2 million in under 2 years…. And the blackbox tokens funded exchange listings, servers, and a community director….. but sure…. Carry on🤷🏻♂️😂 -
Got mad respect for xcer n dan still doing their things to try n build on CP n help it grow…. Don’t think their actions alone will right the ship or onboard tons of new ppl, but I always support experimentation👍🏻 -
I agree its always good to see cool new stuff developed on Counterparty. It can't hurt. Even if it doesn't attract many new users, its something that gets the old users interested.
When it comes to Adam & co, I just want to understand what the motivations are. Obviously he's not here out of pure altruism. So user base isn't increasing, XCP price isn't increasing... so how or why is he getting paid, and by who? I'd like to know. -

Where is the money coming from... that I can answer... VC investors... they already burned through 2M.... Its a great thing for them... they get paid for "guessing" what the community wants and building whatever they want... all they have to do is pitch that they have vision and say "blockchain" and they get funds... I don't see this funding route stopping... they will be able to tap into the market of sucker investors for a long time, even without profitable projects, etc -

Do these vc investors not know of danks -
With Symbiont the were able to extract $36.6 Million from investors... eventually the company went bankrupt... right around the same time Adam came back sniffing around counterparty looking to get more involved.... IMO he saw the value in the community and that he could control the protocol and use a company to extract more funds and fund their development -
Symbiont - Financial DetailsSymbiont has developed the market-leading platform for institutional applications of blockchain technology.

They will cry one day -
neway... that is my take on the situation and why I am building XChain platform.... to have a community driven project, push some new tech forward... and because I don't see a future where Adam walks away from Counterparty development as long as he is able to continue making promises to investors about profitable products right around the corner. -

I want to listen to that jackass -
-
i def appreciate you setting this up man. regardless, its a way for the CP community to ask questions and try to understand wtf is going on lol -
Sounds like an “op” to me -
Who’s funding this op bro -
IMO can't fault ZeroG for at least trying to unite the CP community and bring some visibility into WTF is going on with Adam and team since they are pretty quiet and don't really communicate their plans.... they only really answer questions when called out.... ZeroG in previous spaces at least got Adam to admit that MAYBE some of his changes were unwarranted, executed poorly, and in hindsight he would have done things a bit different (breaking dispensers, breaking MPMA, disabling P2SH, shitcanning CIPs, etc)..... While I don't really think these type of spaces will do much to reunite the community as it is already pretty damn broken, I think ZeroG's intentions are pure.... he too was singled out by Adam numerous times as trolling for simply sharing his opinion in telegram chats and on github... so, I don't feel like ZeroG is just blindly following Adam.... he is like Shaban... a CP community member who sees the current situation, is unhappy, and is trying to make a bit of a difference and unite ppl a bit more.... I can't fault him for that... I won't be participating in the space, but think its good at least someone is trying to communicate with the community and engage.... lord knows Adam and team don't engage in any meaningful way🤷️️️️️️ -
-
The concoction of lip service and outright lies makes him completely unlistenable -
-
No amount of glitter and gold could possibly coat his turd behavior to make it better. The bottom line is he's legally obligated to maximize the profits of his investors and he is no longer and not at all obligated, at any point, for any amount, to satisfy any kind of community except for the one he's building himself, for himself, by himself -
agreed but having on a known shyster who constantly lies and manipulates everyone and is the so called "leader" is a terrible look -
-
imo there is no "share holders meeting" lol, "board meeting" lol or office door to knock on to ask questions and voice your opinion
so i guess if literally NOT a single CP community member wants to ask a single question, NOT as single CP member wants to voice their opinion, or NOT a single CP member wants to hear a single thing Adam has to say... it that case, Zero G is prob wasting his time. otherwise, if a single CP community member (or more) want to do just one of those things, id say Zero G is doing something really cool for the CP community 🫡
just sharing some thoughts -
Concerns are quite often voiced and the user is silenced. And he seriously has a reputation of silencing anyone that has any kind of input that contradicts his own starch way of viewing things. Like incriminating other people for simply using his botched effort upgrades
If it happens in real time, on a hangout, then we get paid lip service or lies, still.
Do you see that time and time again there is no honest open interaction of cooperation?
You are right. You are not invited to the Horizon board meeting or investor annual report -
so i guess its cool that this is sort of more public than smaller chat groups and def more "in the open" than a DM to Adam/the Horizon team.
these are live, public, and any/all can jump on. ofc i def understand many are frustrated with the way things are rt now (including me) -
I’m not frustrated at all, I’m building stuff and happy that there are devs devving who have funding and skills. That was like unthinkable at one point. It’s not the devs job to like make art or pump stuff. -
Its the community's job to keep the devs in check when they get carried away, which is what pretty clearly happened here. Most of the people who are still here from the beginning - the earliest builders and innovators - aren't really thrilled with the direction Adam is taking things.
I'm not saying its all bad - of course there have been some improvements made - but he should really slow down and consider opinions of longtime community members rather than just attempting to ram things through with a "my way or the highway" approach. -
intentionally breaking the wallet 99% of the community uses is not devs just devving its undermining the entire protocol -
Where is the carried away part and the dumpster fire you guys are describing, as I blind or something? They made a new explorer, wallet, new features, admirable levels of backwards compatibility for how complicated the consensus state is computed. -
Sounds like a conspiracy -
-
-
-
-
Shaban Shaame (@shaban_shaame) on X@agkrellenstein understand your perspective that some of these claims may not align with your view of events, but the community’s frustration is clear and seems rooted in a perceived lack of transparency and inclusivity. For example, the removal of the CIP process and reports of contributors
-
It took years before assets were used to make NFTs. It takes time and timing. I don't think anything was actually lost with regards to CIPs. -
-
-
history was lost -
-
Perfect global state is hard and there's actually probably a lot of issues you werent even aware of with regards to the history of the ledger prior. -
Making as many changes with as few issues is admirable. -
its gud tech, seems to work to me. -
I'm not talking about the ledger, I'm talking about the fact that its no longer easy to understand why certain changes were made in the past, what has been suggested... wiping the CIP was a mistake, but he'll never admit that.
There's also been more than a few instances where something gets broken, the community points it out to Adam, and then he finds a way to pass the blame to J-Dog... he seems to avoid responsibility for his actions whenever possible. -
The CIP process was a barely functioning place where ideas went to die or get rubber stamped. Your over valuing it greatly and Adam correctly diagnosed it as a bad process second only to the BIP process which is the biggest garbage fire in existence. -

This is a community thats to wants grieve. That's what powers this group. -
eh, i simply didnt want to buy tokens from Horizon to do atomic swaps -
-
it functions, so you got what you wanted -
thats what i dont relate to in this chat its like a separate reality -
-
That's called open source development homie -
-
-
-
They polished and upgraded the code base. They added new features. This chat had a shit fit about those new features. So they stopped making new features. Now the complaint is what, no new features? -
I would ignore this chat too -
-
No, that's a straw man argument -
-
Ok now that we've landed on logical fallacies, I know we're done here. You're all very smart. Protect the pile of dirt. Do not disturb the dust. -
-
-
-
Exactly. It's an attack vector -
-
-
Explain the broken wallet thing to me, is it not resolved by coding? -
-
*FORKWARD -
Can you open a dispenser in one tx? -
really I wouldn't mind that at all... we could do stuff like issue a token, lock the supply & description & do immediate sends all in the same transaction..
oh and open a dispenser in 1 tx -
Is horizon wallet open source? -
I can open a dispenser with one tx and horizon wallet is open source -
Someone is misinformed and it could be me -
dont really care to argue about it but heres my personal take
- i liked using dispensers from non xcp addresses, but the process in how it changed felt disrespectful and forced (not gonna pull up the receipts but just how it went) - its fine how it is now, but i liked being able to buy with Electrum because of previous wallets not doing sat/vb well
- things that were backwards compatible broke in wallets we all use often... more than a few times - again, happens, just annoying - see next bullet point for how to help this process
- many changes were put through without just contacting and explaining to Wallet Devs like Shabaan and others that significant things are going to change and users need to be aware (dispenser change - Casa tookan as example) ... the argument is 'they should pay attention' - but Lead Dev could also just reach out and try for quicker communication on big changes that will drastically change existing features
- change in 'origin' and 'dispenser' address made it 3 tx's (and 3 btc fees) to open a dispenser on a new address, yes Horizon has an easy button, but its the same cost from what I've been told (send asset there, send btc there, set up dispenser on new addy)
- MPMA too expensive now, was promised Taproot MPMA but user facing apps dont have it yet
- buying 'tokens' to use Horizon atomic swaps is dumb, If i do use it, will just choose a different wallet/provider - furthermore it was wanted by the community that atomic swaps + PSBTs would be a pathway for xcp assets on NFT CEX's like Magic Eden.... is that not still important?
- CIP's were stale, Dan isnt wrong - it was just no discussion on it and then slashing them without asking that was the issue - maybe even bringing up they would change how it was done in the Github would have ignited more interest in it.... and it took a while for Adam to bring it back to the forum
- Nutildah isnt wrong that backwards compatible mistakes that were made by Adam (which made FW functionality unusable for days or weeks) often got deflected at Jdog... Memos on MPMA... a few others
- Starting a new XCP TG chat was the dumbest of all imo - splintered the community - created rifts - strange though we actually still discuss things in the old one lol -
We can't on freewallet though -
My final thought for the day:
Its obvious that the goal of many of the new changes was an attempt to appeal to the Ordinals crowd at the expense of the existing community.
Well, now Ordinals isn't very popular anymore — the degen crowd has moved on to other things. But the Counterparty community is still divided.
So if Adam wants Counterparty to succeed he should put more focus on appealing to the existing community.
That's about all I have to say. As davesta pointed out, we really need unification at this point. -
-
this would be dumb ^ -
-
-
calling out dishonest devs in the public square is a good thing -
-
-
-
Interesting perspective.... from my perspective, they broke dispensers unncessarily to drive people towards atomic swaps, disabled P2SH without a good reason (lied that it wasnt supported in BTC core anymore).... as evidenced by the entire drop-off in usage from Dispensers... now you have to use a Counterparty wallet to use Dispensers, they lost a great way to onboard BTC users.... but sure, discredit us all and say the shit fit was for no reason..... usage charts and XCP price show a different story... your entitled to your opinion, but repeating the same thing again and again doesn't make it true... many ppl clearly still upset about the protocol being taken over and "upgraded" the way one person sees fit and no longer driven by the community and its desire for a say in the features added to the protocol 🤷️️️️️️ -
you (gmoney) will then reap what you sow -
absolutley -
you can open a dispenser in a single tx yes... you CAN NOT open a dispenser on a new/empty address in a single tx like oyu could before... now requires funding the new address with BTC and transferring the asset to the dispenser address before opening the dispenser... what was able to be done in 1 single tx before now takes 3 (2 in horizon cuz they made it possible to send BTC and asset in a tx and THEN open a dispenser)... either way, functionality lost -
heard rumors from multiple sources that Adam has moved on to working on an EVM style chain for BTC since it doesnt fit with the CP community... wouldn't suprise me 🤷️️️️️️ -
It’s 0.25 sats/vB, that change unlocked a major improvement in the core software, you can still make dispensers, like $10k of XCP worth of dispensers sold today. The grievances are held stronger than bitcoin here. -
anything you disagreed with since Adam took over? - anything at all? -
Great discussion over the last several hours.
If I could have one thing back, that would be fixing things to make MPMAs affordable again, unlock the rare gifting economy for the world's poorest people. -
-
I think they overestimated PSBT adoption, but listened to the community and kept dispensers largely intact. I think fairmints have too many options. I wouldn’t have added numeric subassets but it doesn’t bother me either no one uses them. I wish they were more aggressive with XCP tokenomics things but people complained and they listened. But I don’t think it’s productive to make any of these blockers or hang ups. I don’t like how subassets were implemented originally either but I use them. I want to see counterparty have another day in the sun and keep existing and that seems more likely than ever to me personally. -
i respect your grievances greatly -
that argument is great when fees are cheap like they are the past few months... but we all knows fees vary and when the network gets busier... that 1 vs 3 txs gets WAY more expensive... but ok dan... at this exact point in time, your argument that its no big deal cuz network fees seems valid.... "major improvement in core software".... coulda done all those improvements without cripling dispensers, as I suggested many times... add new stuff and depreciate the old stuff as better solutions become available.... instead they made dispenesers more difficult and expensive to use, and tried to push ppl towards atomic swaps... which has not really worked out to well..... they said that dispenesrs were unsafe and ppl could lose funds.... yet, they replaced them with atomic swaps where if one does not use a counterparty wallet, and use any other BTC wallet, you risk losing tokens bound to utxos... .way bigger risk IMO... but obviously we can agree to disagree -
-
-
if you were Lead Dev, how does the process work to reach out to NFT CEX's like Magic Eden - is there something the community could help with in that process? .... how soon after implementing PSBT and Atomic Swaps would you reach out? Are there other NFT CEX's youd be interested in? -
you still would prefer domain name style direction on subassets? (SUBASSET.ASSET vs ASSET.SUBASSET)? Also.... I feel ya on tokenomics for XCP.... Adam n team came in kinda saying they were going to focus on making XCP usage higher and token more valuable... then did the exact opposite by removing the XCP fee on subasset issuance. -
I talked to magic Eden they just wanted to know if they could make a bag worth the dev time and decided not, I met with three people
From their team -
half a billion in rare pepe floor didnt convince them? -
is there something we can do to help in any way? -
I'd like to think this isn't true.. I hope its not. But in case it is, we'll just have to be patient and wait a couple of years before he leaves to move on to the next thing. The longest he's ever been with 1 project is 4 years.*
*4 years at a time -
Offer them some rare Pepe’s 😂 -
-
IMO... He will never leave the project or step away... he now saw that it continued to grow with him gone and when he came back he had a big fight to get back in control, which caused a fork and fracture of the community.... I don't see Adam ever stepping back from CP or handing control over.... it's been 2+ years with him at the helm and still no other devs added to the repo, no one else contributing code or pull requests that get merged.... IMO he will just move on to other projects and let the codebase "operate" without adding anything else..... time will tell -
im trying to find the chat, but I was told by Adam it would take devs '15 minutes' to integrate with new protocol updates
maybe thats after spinning up a node? -
I'm sure they have the capability to integrate it, but they don't have the interest. We probably just need to meme and chill and wait for alt season in 2030. -
thats sad, and somewhat illogical if rare pepe alone accounts for 100x volume of many ordinals collections -
Combining xchain with CP Classic could we just reboot the CP game to right where it was before the fork? -
xchain is snapshotting asset ownership from block 866000.... NOT token balances... so, if someone wants to migrate their tokens off CP to xchain, they have the ability to do so, however XChain platform is something entirely new with new functionality, and dont feel it would be right to snapshot balances and cause even more confusion (essentially another ledger fork).... My focus is on finishing up the platform and pushing it out the door, then can focus on making migration easier if that is something that various community members desire. -
If danks and pepes were on magic eden it would contradict their highest selling/promotion point, first nfts on/using bitcoin -
Seems illogical to pass up a bag 💰 to keep the 'narrative' if so -
Imagine all the drama when stories like someone spent and bragged about buying a copy mint dank at 1000x the price -

Is xchain new l2 project? It will merge with cp classic?

No opinion sharing or retelling of history can change this jarring realization -
-
Maybe unspendables other priorities end up affecting Counterparty very positively -
-
-
-
Yes new multi-chain L2 project, won’t merge with classic… just use an asset ownership snapshot from block 866,000 (where cp2.0 forked off). Classic will continue to exist in its current form👍🏻 -
So there are two different potential conflicts of interest that I (Adam) see. The first is the possibility of supporting Unspendable Labs' business over the interests of the community (e.g. Horizon Wallet + Explorer over other wallets and explorers). The second is that the entities funding the company Unspendable Labs could push the protocol development in a way that favors their own interests.
The second question is easy to answer: the existing funding for UL comes 100% from (1) myself, (2) the Bitcoin Frontier Fund (who have made their investment public), and (3) close friends and family (whose names I won't disclose)
The first question is harder to answer. Yes, there's a potential conflict of interest. It's possible that I personally could push to change the protocol in a way that favors the UL business. That's possible in any case where someone who leads development of a community project also runs a business that makes use of that project. All I can really say here that UL and I are much more incentivized to make Counterparty successful than to increase UL's short-term revenue. That's why 100% of Counterparty development is done out in the open, including all issue tracking and prioritization, and why Horizon Wallet is fully open-source. -
the "potential conflict of interest" is no longer potential... IMO its a very real conflict of interest, breaking functionality other wallets use, changing features before better replacements are ready and tested, and doing all these changes before their wallet is even ready and on par with the same features that the community has had for years via FreeWallet -
Funding of UL now comes 100% from external investors, and the focus of the devs is horizon products not counterparty…. Kinda like I warned a year ago 🤷🏻♂️
Sometimes it sucks being able to see the writing on the wall before everyone else… could see it coming clear as day but many just thought it was “unnecessary drama” 😢 -
Yeah and every space they have or interaction with the older community seems scripted and they not dare Veer off from there talking points -
And talk in circles -
-
" All I can really say here that UL and I are much more incentivized to make Counterparty successful than to increase UL's short-term revenue. "
I'm going to wish them good luck with this, as ultimately it would help all of us, and that's about all I can do... until I come up with something new to complain about. Because after all, now is the time to forgive & forget, we need unification, cmon everybody, chorus, verse, etc. -

Now their focus on forcing "Atomic swaps" and attaching/detaching CP tokens to UTXOs (going from address-based system to utxo-based system) makes a lot more sense... why build somthing into Counterparty when you can build something entirely new and vampire-attack the value on Counterparty -
-
-
-
-
-
So wait.....
Unspendable Labs holds the keys to Counterparty.......
But they are currently focused on preparing for a token sale of a new project that appears to compete with Counterparty —- "Kontor"
Who is looking out for the best interests of Counterparty?
Am I understanding this correctly? -
I can't post files here, but the Kontor Series A deck states they are planning a Series A fundraising at a $100mm valuation, and then a public token sale 15 months after that.
Sounds like for the next 2 years or so, their team will not have time/energy for counterparty. Or am I missing something? -
G$ was right -
Ouchie..... -
Your understanding is correct -
-
-
yep... as I said... they did what they needed to do to Counterparty to build rails (atomic swaps) to move value to their new metaprotocol.... also, the tokenomics and fundraising are very against the grain of CP.... XCP launched with a burn of BTC for XCP.... this new platform has 20% reserved for team, 10% for private investors, 7.5% for the foundation, 37% for the "ecosystem".... guess the community only gets 10% via airdrops and 15% via public sale. -
yeah, I don't expect any more updates for counterparty except minor ones like perhaps inflating the XCP supply by moving the decimal point.... they forced what they needed into Counterparty (atomic swaps)... now they can just let it run and not have to do anything -
-
thank god for classic -
-
-
-
sounds like xchain is WAY ahead of them -
Counterpoint, its all building on bitcoin and means there continues to be fund and maintain things. -
all we need is another smart contract shitcoin on bitcoin -
they even use CP and pepecash in the example... tokens can leave the CP ecosystem by getting locked up in utxos and then moved over to KOR system to their smart contracts.... supposedly bi-directional, but not sure why they would ever encourage anyone to leave their system and return back to CP or Ordinals, etc... its a play to capture all the value in their system. -
Technically, I assume that they would not be able to transfer assets owned by other people, right?
Wouldn't the asset owners need to willingly transfer their assets to Kontor? -
Such a diabolical plan, evil geniuses -
sounds like a jewish plot -
funds to maintain things are great (something counterparty sorely needed for many years)... however, a company controlled ledger and profit-focused platform versus a community driven one are very different beasts -
-
-
not asset owner... balances... individual token holders could put transfer their token balances to a utxo and move it over to the kontor ledger -
On the bright side, I guess they will airdrop to XCP holders?
If that is the case, it should do wonders for the value of XCP.
Perhaps that explains the recent cleaning out of dispensers. -
so... no problem with not being transparent, forcing changes into CP, and being maintainers of competing meta-protocols eh? -
I just don’t share that lens -
guessing some of the airdrop will go to XCP holders... but also expect them to want to entice Ordinals and BRC-20 and other meta-protocol to use their platform... so XCP holders prolly getting just a part of the airdrops -

maybe an oversight on their hybrid utxo model... but shows that the token only goes into their system, not exits... can swap CP tokens into a "KOR UTXO"... and then swap back to a BTC token.... but looks like once you "detach" a token from the KOR utxo, it enters their ledger balances and I see no "attach" function to get things back from the Kor system to the original system -

Lizards are trying to eat Counterparty -

"good money"
Your still retarded....
I remember when you thought you were gonna make a bunch of "good money" with XCP too ... -
ofc they left the evidence it was always the plan... What day did they take over cp -
-
u mean vector -
all hell broke loose at block 866,000.... when they forked the ledger... so, they were focused on getting shit back working again with their 10 subsequent hotfix releases over 2 weeks... but yep, looks like as soon as they got the system back up and operational KONTOR was registered within 1 day of the fork -
-
-
-
geee, it looks like they had a plan all along... -
-
Hard to know who is who with all of the handles out there.... -
I saw them in Vegas Evan was basically walking around holding Adams hand -
still believe Vector is Evan..... Evan shut up at the same time Vector arrived and refused to answer questions about who he was... demanded he was a very in demand programmer... and Adam admitted that him and Vector were personal friends... so it jives -
well we know adam's brother rolls that way... maybe Adam/Evan do to... partners in more than business 😛 -
-
Whoa this info drop is getting heavy 😅 -
Krellenstein ghey bois -
The evil plan of improving the code and adding new features and continuing to build on Bitcoin and not “shove” things people don’t want on Counterparty but somewhere else with enough resources to maintain both. -
Diabolical -
Awful stuff -
spin doctor -
It’s like just an opinion dude -
wouldn't be wrong if they just did that on their own with their own protocol and not be all cloak-n-dagger with the Counterparty community about their reasons for forcing atomic swaps into the protocol and breaking dispensers..... break dispensers == force ppl towards atomic swaps.... add atomic swaps == offramp from CP to Kontor -
-
sounds like a zionist plot -
Muh Fukin burfsday.... -
So Adam could make sure no one ask eve questions.... -
I DONT want to listen but ask some stuff ?lol see what he says -
"This is a space about Counterparty, this is not an AMA about Kontor... lets keep things on topic... sorry, gotta go, got a meeting " 😛 -
-
ill say what tf i want until they kick me out lol -
-
-
-
WTF.
You sound like paid opposition..
What got improved? They fuked it up...
Look at the usage drop after the fork.
They certainly shoved the changes down all our throats... -
Idk I’ve coded more on counterparty recently than in a long time. The docs are great. The API is very good. It doesn’t seem as cause and effect to me that use is down. It’s not like this mythical community that keeps coming up is a thriving and welcoming place. And NFTs down bad. The ones that aren’t are trying token games. It’s an echo chamber of like five angry old men here. Scarcity mindsets in an abundant market. -
It’s not zero sum games -
-
You don't think breaking dispensers, make multi send stupid expensive had anything to do with the drop in usage? -
-
I don’t think they are broken or expensive, I can make a dispenser and do a cheap multisend. -
With freewallet -
again... not in a single tx... you gotta do 3 txs... also can't close and collect assets back to original address. -
-
You don’t need to make 3 txs -
3txs for dispenser on virgin addy?
Your Fukin missing the point on purpose. -
With freewallet? -
-
Or you can do it in one -
-
How? -
You make a dispenser tx -
not on a new / empty address... gotta have balance in the address first bro -
-
You can just do it with your main address. -
I call BS -
No... -
-
-
-
So brrr guy goes and makes xchain, not brr guys go and make Kontor. And I inherit xcp. -
I like it -
-
I don’t need the keys to the repo, I’m just gonna keep building on Counterparty -
COMPROMISED -
even Branch reposted this haha https://x.com/kontornetwork/status/1968670698081042833 -
Deleted? 🤔 -
💪 yes -
It screams shitcoin to me. I don't think it's much to worry over. Ultimately the market will decide which is best for who. That's a big part of what bitcoin can give; real, true, free markets. Am I wrongly retarded? 😅 -
Also funny there's some covfefe in there. -
Reposts are not endorsement -
Also funny I couldn't find pepeproject on horizon markets.... -
rootstock, stax etc all failed so its just another scamcoin trying to get your bitcoin -
-
-
-
Reminds of that guy "why are there so many jews in things" lmao -
Where you find RAREPEPE and BITCORN is where you'll find me -
Do we need classic though can’t a future fork just fork off of the current CP2 ledger? -
Jewish people are naturally good at numbers. Thats my opinion on why -
Just follow the RAREPEPE -
how would that work when CP2 has assets living on utxos... CP is address based.... CP 2.0 is address/utxo based.. hence the snapshot at 866000... right before the fork -
-
Oh, so the protocol is completely different. Sorry that’s beyond my level. I appreciate you. -
The NAKAMOTO already happened. You cant fork it -
-
-
-
Oh so CP2 is the fork. I thought the correct terminology was that classic was the fork but I guess it depends on how you look at it. -
-
-
-
-
-
the new version of software is always the fork... .CP classic is just the "old" version of counterparty... after waiting 1 month for adam to change the CP 2.0 prefix (add replay protection), I added replay protection to counterparty-classic... but other than that change.. .counterparty-classic is just counterparty 9.61.3 and cp 2.0 is the "new" version (aka, the fork) -
Unspendable Labs... but yeah, Adam's maintainer at counterparty and this new metaprotocol... total conflict of interest like I said a year ago 😛 -
Makes total sense to me thank you -
Im just gonna use Dan's Wallet and freewallet tomint Dank Rares etc. Probably buy some Rarepepes ++ -
-
-
The UTXO bs reminds of me ordinals. Seems like over complicating things when the worked fine the way they were? -
-
Similar to common core math in USA -
I prefer the simplicity of account based, is this new system utxo only or hybrid like xcp? -
Same reason ppl use eth or any crypto when there's bitcoin -
-
I’m the wrong guy to ask I’ve made 1 transaction total on CP2 (new system) - I had a feeling we would be in the place we are right now I just didn’t think it would have taken this long -
What's the wallet called? -
Gfy.io -
Why dont you ask him kek -
Prob shouldnt use it, if u think he's comp'd lmao -
Dude has no clue what he is saying unless the subject is a shiny rock and its attribute -
Or paid troll im not convinced either way -
Love Arvik, but he def must like the taste of his foot sometimes hahaha -
Hybrid -
Just a smart contract system… one that could have been built into counterparty…. But Adam n team don’t have/couldn’t get xcp bags, so they going the ICO route -
-
-
Looney already moved his -
Probably -
Hopefully -
KekKity -
Is there any demand for a full fledged smart contract system on XCP? -
He’s gonna love it… him n Leary already shitcoiners…. Pepeusd.lol …. Ucit 🤷🏻♂️ -
Not really, would be nice to have, provide additional functionality, but can already do almost everything with the existing features -
-
-
I think ETH and other proof of stakeetc. Will be buried 1st. Then demand, bags, Lamborghini, etc -
First we use Eth to pay the debt then we delete it -
Roths rekt -
-
Fuk that. I'm not going to. Imma learn to rock Xchain.
I was just wondering what it was called... -
Man I wish I was paid to be retarded....
Id have way more corn.. -
-
yeah the whole outsourcing of signing transactions to sites and contracts to allow them to execute on your behalf is a slippery slope... not a model I am a fan of... prefer to be in 100% control of all transactions I sign, and to sign locally in my wallet -
-
-
Wait, one person has total control over CP code? -
lol... welcome to the conversation -
CounterpartyPioneering Peer-to-Peer Finance. Counterparty has 30 repositories available. Follow their code on GitHub.
-
yes... Ever since I gave up control of the counterparty repo to Adam... he centralized control under himself.. he removed joe looney, Juan, Shannon Code, JP Jansen.... and hid who had repo access for over a year... I repeatedly called for him to reveal who had commit access and he just recently changed visibility so we can see that only him and ouziel have commit access -
That's as centralized as it gets.
Surely there must be system for multiple signatures that would provide for more stability/objectivity in running the protocol. -
all this was brought up over a year ago by myself, shaban, JP Jansen, etc... "should/could be" doesn't seem to be something Adam and team are interested in... they are in total control of the repo and protocol and what changes get put into the protocol, so why would they want to decentralize that and lose power?..... this all worked when we had a benevolent dictator model (Robby, John, Me (arguably))... but now that we just have a dictator, it falls apart 😛 -
Perhaps re-establishing some sort of fairer/safe way of controlling access and changes to the protocol should be a high priority.
How to get there from here without rehashing everything though......... -
CP = Centralised Playground -

So collected money from counterparty community to work on counterparty while also taking VC investor funds to work on counterparty and horizon and at the same time quietly building out a new Meta protocol…. Clearly he has no problems with conflict of interest or taking funds to work on one thing while actually working on something else,…. Total transparency.😂 -
I’m sure it looks very good for him to be back in control of counterparty almost like he didn’t abandoned it for 10 years…. He let other people foot the bill and keep it alive so he could swoop in to take it over and force changes into the protocol …. If I was a VC investor I’m sure it looks pretty appealing…… hopefully people who invest in his project do their due diligence and realize he abandoned counterparty 10 years ago…. Took 26 million in VC funds via symbiont, and eventually bailed on that project and moved onto his next grift -

CP was always the plan -
