The old RarePepeWallet’s name checker is a bit of a fossil. Tokenscan showing no asset does not necessarily mean the name is available: Counterparty names can be reserved, already registered under a slightly different normalization, or blocked by the wallet’s own validation/indexing. Try rpw.wtf instead, and verify the exact asset name there before broadcasting anything. If it still rejects it, check the Counterparty asset registry directly and make sure you’re not attempting to mint a name that conflicts with Rare Pepe’s closed project history.
