At a conceptual level, KAST will allow users to lock-up their assets (Counterparty/Ordinals/Runes, etc...) so that those assets can run on Kontor's rails. Should help to increase liquidity as it will open up commerce between ecosystems.

Is "lock-up my assets" the #1 requested feature?

Think of it sort of like an emblem vault (at a conceptual level). It’s a way to trustlessly move assets around on Kontor. So you could swap an Ordinal for a CP asset, for instance.

The holder can, of course, extract the asset back to its native protocol. It’s not “locked away forever.”
