When Javier and I decided that Counterparty was heading in a different direction than we thought it should, it became clear we were at an impasse with the current developers. Rather than keep dividing the community by being openly hostile towards them, we had this artwork commissioned from LycosFreak to try to bring some sense of unity back to the ecosystem.
The artwork includes many of the well-known Counterparty and Dogeparty community members in the stands, and features both the XChain and Counterparty logos, with Javier and me holding golden forks. We knew we were working on turning BTNS into something truly incredible within the XChain platform.
The description on the asset says the rest: side by side or miles apart, brothers are always close at heart. The BROS name was registered in 2015, moved to the XChain address in January 2024, and 1,000 were issued and locked.
